Discover the Stingrays, sharks and underwater sculptures
Come and discover the stingrays and the sharks with a mask and a snorkel, right in the middle of the Moorea lagoon on a sand bar where you can stand up. The very friendly and very seducing rays let themselves be petted, and swim around you brushing against you with grace and elegance. The “black-tipped” sharks are peaceful and calm, they come within 3 or 4 meters of you (without being fed) and let you observe them with the greatest indifference. The excursion continues to another site, still in the middle of the lagoon, in front of the village of Papetoai, to discover sculptures of Tiki (ancestral gods) immersed in water 3-meter deep. After listening to explanations, you can dive with mask and snorkel in this “underwater museum” and observe the sculptures, the corals and the fishes in the area. 2-Bay Excursion : Opunohu and Cook's Bay
Rays, sharks, underwater sculptures, 2 bays. Come aboard for a lagoon tour that will introduce you to the underwater fauna, and the splendors of the lagoon, of the mountains and the bays of Moorea. To begin, a stop on a sand bar in the middle of the lagoon to meet the very friendly gray rays, which come to you to be petted. There are also black-tipped sharks within 3 or 4 meters (without being fed) and let you watch them in all safety. Then a stop in front of the village of Papetoai, still in the middle of the lagoon, to dive with fins, mask and snorkel and see sculptures of Tiki (ancestral gods) immersed in 3-meter deep water with corals and a lot of fishes around. The excursion continues with a visit of Opunohu Bay surrounded by lush vegetation, where landed the first Europeans navigators who discovered Polynesia. To finish the tour, visit of Cook’s Bay with its famous “pierced mountain”, its 2 catholic churches and its pineapple valley, symbolof the island of Moorea. Watching the dolphins
All year round. Let yourself be seduced by an excursion to encounter Polynesia’s wild dolphins. All year round, you can observe the dauphins à long bec (Spinners), which swim in the passes, the bays or in the ocean. What is more beautiful than to watch them swim in front of the boat’s bow or to see them jump for our greatest pleasure. It is possible to hear them through a hydrophone. The excursion also includes a stop in the lagoon on a sand bar in 1-meter deep water to pet the gray rays, to watch the black-tipped sharks and a multitude of lagoon fishes. Whale watching excursion
From July to the end of November Come aboard for an excursion to an encounter with the humpback whales. From July to the end of November, the Polynesian waters are a reproduction area for these great mammals, coming from Antarctica to find safety around our islands. Let yourself be seduced by a swim in the ocean if the whales are in their resting phase, or listen to the singing of the male whales through a hydrophone. The excursion also includes: a stop in the lagoon to pet the gray rays, a stop on the other side of the coral reef on a diving spot to observe the black-tipped sharks and other species in water 15-meter deep.
